       We didn't post the other two days because                        we didn't really do anything!

Hi guys it's Lucy🙂!🩵🎀💅🩵🎀💅 We actually left the house at a good time today! 😝 My dad said if You're a local. You get a cappuccino 12:00 a.m. and under. And it was 10ish 11!! (You can still get a cappuccino past it but you look like you live here if you do get at 12:00 in under☺️) So I got a Cappuccino and it was so good and I got a cornetti it's basically a croissant but much sweeter🩵🩵!  And my 🎀dad🎀got a cappuccino and a yummy pastry thing!😋🩵🧡 So then we went on a Tran to go to see Peter's chains. (If you don't know who Peter is he is one of the apostles of Jesus) The chains could have been his or maybe not.  Yeah, and there was a Popes frount of the funeral thing. But they sadly never finished it. 😢 But it's still really cool! 😎🩵 And the whole time me, Penny and my dad was sweating so much!! It was so hot!!🔥 But I did have to wear pants to go on the church. I wish I bought a change of shorts. But we was so hot that my dad said we could get a gelato!! Yeah and the rest of the day was really boring.😑😑😑😑😑😑 I just watched some shows 🩵🩵 Did read 180. (Oh yeah I forgot to say I do read 180 still) I did that because my dad was teaching his class. And then we came home!!! 🩵🩵💅🎀
My dad made me grilled cheese for me and I just made the blog writing. Well that was everything for today. I hope you guys have a nice day in Newport!☺️.              🩵Byeeeeeeeee🩵

Vatican Museums: Old Art Aplenty

🖌 🎨 (This is Craig's Dad filling in some of the gaps, though Penny picked out the pictures.) Friday we went to the Vatican Museums. It was hot, and crowded, but otherwise a great experience. The top pic is a selfie in front of Raphael's School of Athens with all of history's great philosophers, Plato and Aristotle at the center. The museum stretches on forever with Roman statues, medieval frescoes (a form of mural painting on wet plaster that is really difficult but spectacular), and even some more contemporary art at the end (like the last painting with the traveling Cardinal and chunky cows). Above is the famous Laocoon where the Trojan priests and his sons are killed by a sea monster for warning his countrymen to not accept the Greek gift of the Trojan horse. Next, Lucy & Penny are in front of Nero's bathtub -- it's huge! There are also amazing tapestries like this one of Jesus, whose eyes follow you across the room.
